Teaming With Life Counseling

Meeting clients where they are while developing a space of safe reflection.

Counseling Services For Adults | Norman, Oklahoma

I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, post-partum depression, family conflict, life transitions, divorce, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation, surviving domestic violence or intimate partner abuse.

  • College students as they transition into life away from home for the first time and struggle with new adult responsibilities, making new friendships, and discovering what path they want to take.
  • Women of all ages who have experienced sexual assault.
  • Women discovering more about who they are as a person and who they want to be.
  • Adults as they realize their parents were emotionally immature and the impact that has had on them.
  • People who have been in relationships with narcissists and are recovering from the abuse they endured.
  • Survivors of domestic violence in recovery from trauma, reconstructing their memories and identifying what actually happened to them.
  • Moms who are experiencing their children growing up and moving on or needing them less. They begin to have more time to do the things they want to do, only they do not know what that is anymore as those things slipped away with motherhood.
  • Women who are realizing that they are not only defined by their roles as mother or wife.
  • Spirituality & Christianity
  • People in law enforcement, military personnel and their spouses.

My passion is cultivating the strengths that already exist within a person. I have the privilege of walking by my clients’ side as they rewrite their own stories.

Mandy Mallory, LCSW

There are many times in our lives when we find ourselves in a state of transition. Be it going to college, moving into a career, getting married, starting a family, parenting teenagers, becoming an empty nester, divorce, caregiving for aging parents, and retirement just to name a few. Change can be challenging with the fear of the unknown creeping in. Life is a story that we write as we go. Let me support you with self-discovery and establishing goals for the future.

Many people face anxiety, depression, and trauma. And one group of people that is not exempt but are oftentimes forgotten is those in law enforcement, military, and front line workers. Oftentimes they witness parts of humanity that can be incomprehensible. And we often see these frontline heros not sharing the “tougher” parts of their jobs in hopes to protect their loved ones. These things can get pushed aside or be unaddressed because many are expected / trained to be strong, almost unbreakable. I am here to help you through the challenges that you may face daily at home or at your job.

Most of the time, we can be unaware of the patterns of control, abuse, or dysfunction, therefore, do not recognize them when they are happening. There are various types of relationships that can become unhealthy, spouse/significant other, parent/child, friendships, and even professional relationships can become unhealthy. We will work together to help you heal from these patterns and find your confidence to understand the signs and be able to create healthy coping skills.

The mind, body, and soul are intrinsically connected in such a way that if one part is unhealthy, so then are the others. Each person must work to find their own balance while carefully listening to their own natural rhythms as they build a healthier version of themselves. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider (CIMHP), we will work together to recognize the interconnectedness of various aspects of your life, including physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions.

Mandy Mallory, LCSW

The journey to finding contentment, joy, and fulfillment are areas of study for me. Contentment and happiness are internal and us humans search for external generators of these essential life components. The search for emotional well being must include an overall balance. The human body consists of intricately woven systems that contribute to or detract from our health, physical, emotional, and mental. In order to feel well, we must find the right balance for ourselves which is an individual recipe.

I make it my goal to create a peaceful space full of support and with zero judgment, where clients can be open with their stories and struggles. I work to build on the strength and resiliency of my clients. A person’s willingness to do the courageous work of growth is something to be encouraged and cultivated.
